Grahame Darnell - Managing Director

Grahame Darnell has worked in the Not-for-Profit sector for over thirteen years following a successful career in commercial sales and marketing. He is an expert in a number of fundraising and marketing disciplines. He has delivered results in several organisations such as RNID, where he led a Corporate and Events team that doubled net income over 4 years and NCH (now Action for Children) as Assistant Director of Fundraising where he delivered a new Fundraising strategy that grew net income by 20% in 2 years. Working as a fundraising consultant he has successfully helped a number of charities, big and small, to develop a formula for success by combining his blend of commercial sales and marketing experience with professional fundraising and strategic management skills.  

Catherine Bennett - Director

Catherine Bennett has worked in fundraising for over fifteen years and has previously held senior roles in a range of charities including Breast Cancer Campaign, Help the Aged and Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (now the Lullaby Trust). She has a strong track record delivering solid and sustained year on year growth and has particular specialisms in corporate fundraising, commercial partnerships, trusts, events and legacy fundraising. A lateral thinker, Catherine has wide experience of tackling a range of challenges from across the fundraising mix and is adept in developing fundraising strategies for smaller charities and those with low brand awareness.

Robert Berry - Senior Consultant

Robert Berry is hugely experienced marketer and researcher who started his career with A C Nielsen, at the time the largest market research company in the world. From there he moved to John Harvey & Sons Ltd (Harveys Bristol Cream and Cockburn’s port) where he was responsible for overseeing qualitative and quantitative market research. After a further 2 years in brand management he joined Martini & Rossi (now Bacardi Martini). During 12 years with the company he became Marketing Controller with responsibility for several major brands, new product development and market research. Over the last 13 years he has been a marketing consultant conducting research and developing and implementing marketing strategy for private, public and not for profit clients.

Clare Skivington - Associate Consultant

Clare Skivington is a highly regarded fundraising consultant who offers a unique combination of theoretical and practical experience having worked in the sector for over 10 years. She started her career at Oxfam GB as a campaigner and moved to their fundraising department culminating in heading up their major donor team raising £2.8 million.  Her knowledge has been drawn from working with organisations such as Oxfam, Action for Children, Into University and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers.  International development clients have included JUCONI (Junto Con Los Ninos) Ecuador, Pump Aid, Widows and Orphans International and Motivation.  Her fundraising experience and expertise includes securing income from major donors, trusts and foundations as well as corporate fundraising.
